HOW TO REACH THE MEETING VENUE

Bergamo is easily accessible by plane, train, or car.

By plane
*Bergamo - Orio al Serio Airport (airport code BGY; only about 5 Kilometers from the Meeting Venue) has daily flights to and from the main European Towns. For more details please visit the web site: www.orioaeroporto.it

*Milan - Linate Airport (airport code LIN; 40 kilometers from Bergamo) has several daily flights to and from major European airports. Every 20 minutes a bus leaves to the Central Station of Milan. Upon request to the organizing secretariat a taxi service will be available at special rates.

*Milan - Malpensa Airport (airport code MXP; 90 kilometers from Bergamo) has several daily flights to and from European and overseas airports. It will be possible to use public transportation from Malpensa to Milan (Cadorna station) (bus or Malpensa Express train). Upon request to the organizing secretariat a taxi service will be available at special rates.

By train
Bergamo is one hour trip from Milan (Centrale or Lambrate railway stations). Take the underground "green line" (2, Linea Verde) to move from Milan Cadorna (last stop of Malpensa Express) to Milan Centrale or Milan Lambrate. Check the timetable on the Italian Railways web site (www.trenitalia.com).

By car
The A4 highway (Milan-Venice) directly connects Bergamo to the major Italian highway network.

The Seminario Vescovile “Giovanni XXIII” is located in the upper town of Bergamo.

To reach the upper town from downtown:
-take the historical funicular, that links downtown with the medieval town on the hill. In just five minutes you will pass through a tunnel dig in the old walls, that leads you in the hearth of the Old Town. The Seminario Vescovile is located ten minutes walking distance from the arrival of the funicular; or, alternatively,
-take the bus line number 1 (public transport company A.T.B.) that leaves from the Orio al Serio International Airport, passing through Bergamo Rail Station, arriving to “Colle Aperto” in the Upper Town. The Seminario Vescovile is located few minutes walking distance from the bus stop.
